The City of Greenbelt's art deco Community Center is within easy walking distance of Greenbelt Homes.  The Community Center originally served as both a school and community meeting place.  Today, it provides a range of activities for all age groups.  In addition to serving as the arts center for the community, the Center houses an adult day care center, the cooperative nursery school, and the city's local newspaper, The News Review. The Center houses a gymnasium which is available for community basketball teams, aerobics classes and other special events, such as Swing dances
